Most golfers only see the bay itself. Here's the rest of the space and why the build bench sits eight feet from where the census happens instead of in a back room.

The Bay and the Bench Share a Wall
A lot of shops fit in one room and build in another, sometimes on a different floor entirely. Ours share a wall on purpose. When a card comes off the fitting bay, it walks straight to whichever build station is open, and the same person who read the strike census is usually the one bending the lie or pulling the shaft.
That proximity is why a build here rarely drifts from the card. Nothing gets re-explained secondhand between a fitter and a builder who never met.

A frequency analyzer, a swingweight scale accurate to a tenth of a point, a lie and loft machine, and a shaft puller that doesn't rely on heat alone — the kind of equipment that makes the numbers on your card repeatable rather than approximate.
